Ilouse, and gate-piers. Early C19. Coursed rubble with sandstone ashlar
dressings, stone slate roof. House: 3 storeys with rear outshut, 3 first-
floor windows. Rusticated quoins. Openings have ashlar surrounds. Between
bays one and 2, plain doorway now window. Sash windows with glazing bars.
Shaped kneelers, ashlar copings, end stacks. Entrance in left return
outshut: 4-panel door below fanlight with decorative glazing bars within
round-arched moulded ashlar surround with imposts and fluted
keystone. Next to doorway, stone with inscription erected by R Rodes Milner
Esq to commemorate James Croft, the trainer of all first 4 racehorses in the
1822 St Leger Stakes. To left of house, rusticated ashlar gate-piers on
plinthswith plain cornicesand ball finials. `
