west of Temple Farm

Mile post. Late C19. Cast iron. Post approximately 600mm high,
triangular in plan. On left face, hand pointing right, and "LEYBURN 6
MILES". On right face, hand pointing left, and "HAWES 11 MILES". At top,
triangular face with "LEYBURN H.D." Dates from after the reorganisation of
highways authorities under the County Councils Act of 1888.
