Mile post. Late C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan, approximately 700mm
high. On left face, hand pointing right and "RICHMOND 5 MILES". On right
face, hand pointing left and "REETH 6 MILES". At top, triangular face with
"LEYBURN H.D." Dates from after the reorganisation of highways authorities
under the County Councils Act of 1888.
