Walls at front and west sides of front courtyard of Walburn Hall, and
continuation of front wall to west. C15, with early - C19 restoration.
Rubble with ashlar dressings. Approximately 4 metres high. Front wall,
approximately 12 metres in length, has double studded board door in
chamfered ashlar surround with segmental arch and label. Embattled parapet
with feather-edged coping rising over doorway. Wall returns for
approximately 10 metres along west side of courtyard. Inside, a wide paved
parapet walk, with access up steps in the north-west corner. The front wall
continues for approximately 20 metres to west (in front of farmyard), with
central ashlar gateway, and narrower parapet walk.
