Stable and coach-house, now flats and outbuildings. Dated 1848. Coursed
stone with ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 8 first-floor
windows, central carriageway breaking forward. Quoins to right. Windows in
ashlar surrounds. Quoined carriageway has large panelled doors and
chamfered segmental arch with impost and keystone. Two 2-light windows
above band. Coped gable with ball finials and coat of arms in pediment.
Ground floor: 3-, 2-, 3- and 2-light mullion and transom windows to left of
carriageway, and 3-light mullion and transom window to right. First floor:
4 2-light mullion windows to left and 2 to right, in between the latter 2
small circular openings with X-tracery. Parapet. Ashlar stacks between
bays 1 and 2, 3 and 4. Rear: archway dated. To left, ashlar quoined
openings to 2 coach-houses and 3 stables. Fire mark of Yorkshire Insurance
Company. The block forms the west side of the north courtyard.
