House and added cottage under 1 roof, now 2 houses. Dated 1648.
Rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, rear outshuts. 5 first floor
windows in all. Sash frames with glazing bars of 16 panes, some
renewed. Doorway to East View in bay 3, has chamfered jambs and a newer
lintel, boarded door. Above, plaque with date. Remains of chamfered
mullioned windows, some jambs re-used, 3 blocked single-lights on first
floor. Doorway to Virginia House between bay 4 and 5, with blocked
square window above. 4 stacks: at ends, and between bays 1 and 2,
4 and 5. Left end stack has large chimney-breast projecting from
gable end.
