GV II
House and byre, now accommodation, under 1 roof. Dated 1750. Coursed watershot
sandstone rubble on projecting plinth, with crude quoins, stone slate roof.
2 storeys with rear outshut. House: 2 bays. Openings have tooled ashlar
surrounds, window reveals showing scars of metal bars. Central doorway has
been raised in height, surround is slightly chamfered, and has panel on lintel
inscribed 'IC 1750', with C20 4-panelled door. Ground floor windows are square,
sashes with glazing bars, 16 panes. First floor windows have been raised in
height with taller versions of same. Shaped kneeler to right, ashlar copings,
end stacks. Rear elevation has projecting through-stones and 3 irregularly-
spaced windows with 6-pane fixed frame with glazing bars, in plain stone
surrounds. Byre to left has 3 doorways on ground floor, pitching door on first
floor.
