Cottage, house and barn under 1 roof, now 1 house. Dated 1685. Rubble,
stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Original house in centre, with 3 first
floor windows. Chamfered mullioned windows. Added central pent porch,
masking quoined doorway with triangular soffit to lintel, recessed panel
on lintel with raised lettering 'E B 1685'. Ground floor: fire window;
3-light window with vertical iron bar in centre of each light, both
under continuous weather course; to right of porch 2-light window, not
in original frame, under weather course. First floor: single-light
window flanked by 2-light windows; above a single-light window to right
and a 2-light window to left. End stacks. To left: boarded door to
right and 2-light window to left. End stack. To right: former barn
with stone steps leading up to boarded door, boarded door beneath steps,
2-light windows on each floor. Rear: projecting stair turret,
8 mullioned windows in artificial stone, c1967. Interior: original
boarded oak door with timber bolt in main inner door; contemporary
fireplace to left with segmental arch and cusped sooker stone; stone
stairs in turret. Inner walls removed.
