GV II

House. Mid C18 with early-mid C19 alterations and extensions. Rubble, C20
pantile roof. 2 storeys, 1:2:1 bays. Central part-glazed 6-panel door in
C20 pedimented surround. 16-pane sash windows below brick flat arches, of
headers in side pavilions. To central block, brick stepped eaves,
interrupted by heads of first-floor windows. Half-hipped roofs to side
pavilions. Shaped kneelers, ashlar copings and brick end stacks to central
blocks. Rear: central part-glazed door in ashlar door-case with slab canopy
on brackets. To left, early-mid C19 2-storey segmental bow with tripartite
sash windows. Interior: main block has doors of 6 fielded panels except for
reeded panels on doors to rooms with segmental bows. In first-floor room to
rear left, C18 stone fireplace with wrought-iron grate and ashlar surround.
