Boundary stone. Early-mid C19. Stone approximately 750mm high, with
triangular top. South face inscribed "HAMLET of BIRKDALE COUNTY of YORK".
Bench-mark on east face, other sides blank. Now marks the boundary of North
Yorkshire and Cumbria.
