17/186 Stableblock to The Haggs

GV II

Stableblock to The Haggs (qv). Early C19. Coursed rubble, stone slate
roof. Central projecting gabled coach house of 2 storeys, 1 bay flanked by
single-storey 3-bay wings, a stable to left and a workshop to right. Coach
house: segmental-arched doorway with double board doors with flat-arched
opening above. Lunette with ledge in gable. Left wing: central board door
with stone lintel flanked by fixed lights with stone sills and lintels.
Roof hipped to left. Slates missing at time of resurvey. Interior:
evidence for stalls. Right wing: central board door flanked by small flat-
arched openings, that to right with C20 lintel. Roof hipped to right.
