8/65 Mr Wright's House
2 houses, now 1. Probably late C18. Coursed sandstone, stone slate roof.
2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Quoins. Openings have ashlar surrounds.
Below central first-floor window, 4-panel door below 2-pane overlight in
surround with bases. To its left, a window perhaps originally a door. To
extreme right, round-arched doorway, now a window, with keystone. 16-pane
sash windows, on ground floor in first and third bays with keystones.
Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping. Brick stacks at ends and between second and
third bays. Rear: some windows have chamfered ashlar surrounds. 2 round-
arched staircase windows with Gothick glazing bars. Near one first-floor
window, an ashlar stone inscribed "CHEESE ROOM".
