Farmhouse and coach-house, now house. Late C17 - early C18. Rubble, stone
slate roofs. 2 storeys, 1:1:1:1 first-floor windows. 1-bay coach-house to
left. House: quoins. Central quoined, gabled porch, of 2 lower storeys,
with part-glazed 6-panel door in ashlar surround and, in gable, oculus with
decorative glazing bars in ashlar surround with parallel tooling, and small
ground-floor single-light window in left return. Ground floor of house, to
left, 2-light double-chamfered mullion window. Other windows: C20 casements
with projecting slab sills and lintels. End stacks, that to left with
triangular slate pot. To left, former coach-house with leaved board garage
doors below curved timber lintel with dripmould; C20 casement window above
on first floor. North Yorkshire and Cleveland Vernacular Buildings Study
