House. Dated 1807. For James Willis. Rubble, artificial stone slate roof.
2 storeys, 3 bays, L-shaped plan with rear wing to right. Plinth. Quoins.
Ashlar first-floor band. Brick surrounds to openings. Central doorway,
altered in C20: 2 Tuscan columns supporting keyed wedge-shaped fascia board;
slightly recessed C20 door of 6 fielded panels incorporating "overlight"
with decorative glazing bars. 16-pane sash windows, round-arched on ground
floor with radial glazing bars on top of panes, and with crown glass.
Shaped ashlar gutter brackets. Hipped roof. 2 stacks rising from rear
eaves. Right return: 3 bays. Central round-arched landing window breaking
first-floor band; 16-pane sash windows on both floors. Rainwater head cast
with characters "J & R W 1807".
