2/98 Lower Shockerwick Farmhouse


Farmhouse. Dated "WW 1793" over door, but probably a remodelling of a mid C17th
house. Rubble, ashlar quoins; Cotswold stone slate mansard roof with coped
raised verges, behind parapet, cornice; ashlar stacks. 2 storeys and attics
in dormers and basement. 2 windows and central door. 2- and 3-light casement
windows with ovolo moulded stone mullions, under drip moulds. 6 panel door
under flat stone hood on brackets.
