60 metres north-east of Gayles
Hall

GV II

Barn. Early C18 barn with early C19 addition. Coursed rubble, stone slate
and corrugated sheet roofs. L-shaped plan with rear wing to right.
2 storeys, 5 internal bays, and with lower hexagonal gingang to right.
Quoins. Central chamfered quoined doorway with pitching door above. 3 slit
vents on each floor on either side. Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping. Rear
facets of gingang roof of corrugated sheet. Interior: collared principal
rafter roof trusses.
