House and attached front garden wall and railings. Early C18 house; early
C19 railings. House: coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, stone slate
roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Chamfered rusticated quoins. Central C20 part-
glazed door in eared architrave. 4-pane sash windows in plain ashlar
surrounds with moulded sills. Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping. End stacks.
Window surrounds at rear have had flat-faced mullions. Left return:
chamfered ashlar surround to loft window. In front of house, low wall
supports wrought-iron railings with pointed tops to bars and cast-iron urn
finials to standards. In the late C18 and early C19 the building was used
as a "Dotheboys Hall" type of school.
