NZ 1407-1507 RAVENSWORTH THE GREEN
(south side)

16/121 Village Hall

GV II

National School, now village hall. 1841. Coursed rubble, Welsh slate roof.
Single storey, 3 bays. Quoins. Between first and second windows, C20
gabled porch with board door, and casement window in left return. Pointed-
arched windows of 2 lights with Y tracery. Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping.
Cast-iron ventilator on ridge in first bay; ashlar bellcote between second
and third bays; end stack to right. Brick flat-roofed extension at rear not
of special interest. The building was replaced by a new school in 1967.
