NZ 1701 3/102 1.8.52. The Friary


Now the Headmaster's House of Richmond School. Large C18 house. Three
storeys, now roughcast. New roof. Seven windows, hung sashes with glazing
bars. Moulded stone eaves cornice. Door at extreme left hand in painted
stone case with reeded pilasters forming brackets, reeded frieze and cornice
with small modillionB. Semi-circular radiating fanlight. Plain doorway
to side elevation. Right-hand extension of 1898 has a canted bay window
on the ground floor. Modern extension to rear. Incorporates C16 and
older masonry.

Grey Friars Tower, The Friary, Gates, Gate Piers, Walling and No 4 (Friary
Lodge) form a group
