25.3.69 Temperance Hotel)
GV II
Former shop and house, now hotel. Late C17 - early C18, with later
alterations. Coursed watershot rubble, stone slate roof. 3 storeys,
3 bays. Central leaved part-glazed doors. On either side, segmental bay
windows with glazing bars. Lead-covered canopy over whole facade. Above,
4-pane sash windows, smaller on second floor. Stone gutter brackets. End
stacks. Interior: spiral stone staircase going from ground floor up to
second floor; salt box in ground-floor room to left; beams.
