National school, now church hall. 1845. Rubble, stone slate roof. Single
storey, 4 bays with central gabled porch. Quoins. Porch: board door in
round-arched ashlar surround with imposts and keystone. Windows: 2-light,
with Y tracery in round-arched ashlar surrounds with imposts and keystones.
Stone gutter brackets. Eaves stack between bay 2 and porch. Ashlar coping.
Bell turret to right gable. 2 storey schoolmaster's house to left has been
altered, and is not of special interest. James Alderson, Under Wetherfell
(1980), pp 88-9 .
