Old School Room

II

Disused school. Late C18 with C19 alterations. Rubble, partly roughcast,
pantile roof. Single storey, 3 internal bays. Quoins. Central board door
in pointed-arched opening with raised surround, at least partly of brick
cemented over. On either side, a sash window with glazing bars. Raised
verges with reversed crowstepping. On left gable, ashlar bellcote with
bell; brick stack at right end. Left return, in the gable a circular
opening with ashlar surround. To the right is an added lower range,
possibly a reading room, not of special interest. In state of dereliction
at time of resurvey.
