Gate piers. Early-mid C19. For the Cradock family of Hartforth Hall (qv).
Ashlar sandstone with herringbone tooling and draughted margins. 2 gate
piers, square in plan, with chamfered bases, square abaci, convex caps and
ball finials. Of the same design as the nearby gate piers south-east of No
1 Hartforth Village (qv). These gate piers enabled the grounds of Hartforth
Hall to be enclosed from Hartforth village.
