NZ 1805-1905 AND SEDBURY (east side)
14/90 Gilling West
No 4O (Waterloo House)

House. c1815. Coursed sandstone, pantile roof with stone slates at eaves.
2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. Central 6-panel door below overlight with
marginal panes in ashlar surround. To extreme right, board passage door in
chamfered quoined ashlar surround. Sash windows with glazing bars with
projecting sills and deep lintels. Ashlar coping to left. End stacks.
Some of the pre-Conquest carved stones displayed in the porch of Gilling
Church are said to have been found when a cellar was being formed at this
