3/192 Gate piers and quadrant
walls formerly to rear
entrance to Stanwick Hall


Gate piers and quadrant walls. Probably early-mid C19, for Lord Prudhoe.
Ashlar and render. Walls approximately 3 metres high, rendered, with ashlar
bases, coping. Short walls link into pairs the 4 gate piers. The quadrant
walls each have ashlar pilaster interval buttresses, and return at right
angles. Gate piers: ashlar, square in plan, with bases, cornice capitals
and blocking above. The 2 outer piers have a projecting flange with
scrolled top.
