SD 9851 1/164 Canopy to south of
Skipton Railway Station

Canopy on platform 1849-51. Designed as part of Skipton Railway Station by Andrews
and Delannay for the Midland Railway. Cast iron with glazed hipped roofs. 5 bay
canopy supported on 12 cast iron columns with capitols and ornate iron brackets,
each bay has a separate hipped glazed roof with 2 segmental iron trusses and
elaborate iron finials.
