Stonegate Cottage

House of C17 or early C18, altered, and recently extended to the west.
Coursed rubble with stone slate roof. Two storeys. Facade to road has
large quoins at left hand side only. Two windows to ground floor, one
made out of a chamfered doorway, the other a 2-light unmoulded stone
mullion window. Next to this is a small blocked light. First floor has
a small sash window with unmoulded surround, one small fixed light and
a 2-light window as below. There is a stop-chamfered doorway. Three
chimneys. Left hand gable end has one 2-light double chamfered stone
mullioned window to ground floor and one 3-light chamfered stone
mullion window to first floor. Right hand gable is new.
