8/74 The Arches



House. Late C18 - early C19. Ashlar, coursed squared stone; graduated
stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Quoins. Central half-glazed door in
plain stone architrave. Outer bays have 24-pane sashes, cental bay has a
sash with glazing bars to first floor, all have plain stone architraves.
Above the door, between outer bays some carved medieval stonework, from
Bolton Priory. Shaped kneelers, stone coping, end stacks.
