GV II

Farmhouse. Dated 1684 with later C17 extension and C19 and C20 alterations. Squared
rubble, painted stone dressings, stone slate roof. Rear to street. Entrance front:
2 storeys, 3 bays. Entrance right of centre has moulded surround, decorated lintel
dated and inscribed A I T F; gabled slate hood, C20 door. All windows have C20
casements. Left-hand and right of centre ground floor chamfered windows - probably
originally 3 or 4 light, mullions now missing; right of centre window has hoodmould
with decorated left-hand circular stop, right-hand stop missing. Right-hand ground
floor former 2-light chamfered window with mullion missing. 3 upper floor windows
all chamfered and formerly mullioned but with mullions now missing. Central former
3-light flanked by former 2-light windows. Right-hand gable end and left of centre
ridge and left-hand ridge stacks. Street front also 2 builds, left-hand end is
continuous outshut. Left-hand C17 entrance has chamfered surround and decorated
lintel. To right is blocked ground floor window with decorated head. Upper floor
single light window with trefoil head.
