of porch, Church of St Mary
Shaft of cross or sundial base, now with gnomon. Dated 1667. Millstone grit, c1.3
metres high. Octagonal shaft on rectangular base with chamfered corners, inscribed
on all 4 sides:

RB WS EH IL
Original sundial and gnomon reputedly dated 1659, replaced 1980.
