SE 05 SW EMBSAY WITH EASTBY LOW LANE

Farmhouse. C17 with C18 alterations and C19 rebuilding. Slobbered squared rubble,
stone dressings, stone slate roof. Central staircase plan. Front remodelled in
C19 but contains reset stone inscribed: 'CM 1732'. Rear: 2 storeys, 3 bays.
Left of centre entrance has chamfered surround, flat arch lintel, C20 door. Two
double chamfered mullioned windows per storey of 3 and 5-lights on each floor.
Central staircase window has deeply splayed surround with late C18/early C19 flat
faced mullion; C20 casements and fixed lights. Right-hand shaped kneeler to gable.
Brick stacks at former left-hand gable end right of centre. Interior not accessible
