6/1 Crow Trees Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Dated 1770 with C17 origins and C20 alterations. Painted watershot
masonry, painted stone dressings, c1980 tile roof. 2 storeys, double fronted.
Central entrance, square bases to chamfered jambs; 9 panel door. Right-hand
ground floor 3-light recessed flat-faced mullioned window; central C19 sashes
without glazing bars, outer fixed lights. Left-hand ground floor former 2-light
window with mullion now missing, 6 pane sashes. Dripstone above both upper floor
former 2-light windows with mullions now missing, moulded surrounds; 6 pane sashes.
Central date panel inscribed IR with incised floral motif. Gable end ridge stacks.
Rear: left-hand bay contains former 2-light chamfered window with mullions now
missing in both storeys. Right-hand transomed stair window. Reused C18 lintel
in right-hand outshut with basket-arched decoration and fluted imitation keystone.
Interior: dog-leg staircase with fluted newels and turned balusters.
