BURTON IN LONSDALE, THORNTON IN LONSDALE,
Boundary stone about 550 metres south-west of Westhouse Lodge

Parish boundary stone. Probably early to mid-C19. Painted millstone grit slab
about 1 metre high and about 1 metre wide. Two horizontal scored lines, between
which is inscribed 'THORNTON IN LONSDALE' and 'BURTON IN LONSDALE',
separated by a vertical V-shaped groove. Chamfered arrises. Rear is plain.

This asset was previously listed twice. It was listed also under the parish of Thornton in Lonsdale as List entry 1254899. This entry was removed from the List on 03/10/18.
