House. Late C17 origins, deepened and refronted in mid C18 with C19 and C20 alterations.
Squared rubble, stone dressings, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central
entrance, plain jambs, moulded impost blocks and basket-arched lintel. On ground
floor to left and right are former 3-light flat faced mullioned windows now with
only one mullion repositioned in centre; sashes with glazing bars. 2 upper floor
3-light flat faced mullioned windows and central single-light window; C20 casements.
Gable end ridge stacks. Rear: right-hand ground floor former 3-light chamfered
mullioned window with mullion now gone; C20 casements. Remains of 2-light mullioned
window to left. Interior: reused datestone inscribed 'RW/1687' found within upper
floor chimney, now repositioned in dining room. This house was divided into 2 cottages
in the early C19, but has since been reconverted to one house.
