House. Late C18. Ashlar, slate roof. Central staircase plan. Gable end to street
Entrance front: 3 storeys, 5 bays, outer bays recessed slightly. Central entrance
has engaged Tuscan columns, moulded cornice; 6 panel door and rectangular fanlight.
Ground floor windows to left and right of entrance are tripartite with engaged
columns and sashes without glazing bars. Left and right ground floor and 5 upper
floor windows have recessed sashes. Cornice. Right-hand fluted iron rainwater
head of late C18 type. Left and right-hand ridge stacks to hipped roof have 8 and
5 flues respectively. Interior: open-string dog-leg staircase with stick balusters.
Late C18 curve to end wall of former dining room. Built for the agent of the
Ingleborough Estate. See Ingleborough Hall.
