House. Mid C18, extended in C19 and C20. Slobbered rubble, stone dressings,
stone slate roof. Two storeys, 4 bays. Entrance between two right-hand bays has
a moulded surround, with a beaded frieze and cyma-recta cornice. C20 door. The
right-hand bay has a C19 window with a plain surround of milled stone to each storey.
The left-hand bay has a C20 2-light transomed and mullioned window in each storey.
The central 2 bays have mid C18 3-light windows with cavetto mouldings and recessed
flat-faced transomed and mullioned windows in each storey. Stone ridge stack at
either end of second bay. The left-hand gable has an early C20 porch surrounding
a gable end entrance which has a chamfered surround and basket-arched lintel carved
with the initials R W and date. At the rear the staircase window rises the full
2 storeys and is constructed from parts of C17 and C18 windows with chamfered and
plain surrounds. The interior contains an inglenook fireplace with massive
voussoirs.
