Former gate lodge to Langcliffe Place (qv) now cottage. Dated 1839. Ashlar, slate
roof. In the Gothic style of George Webster of Kendal. 1 1/2 storeys, 2 bays. Left-hand
gabled porch with round-headed entrance, moulded architrave and keystone. C20 plank
door; wooden bargeboards and ridge finial. Ground floor window to right half dormer
above with C20 casements. Central ridge stack for 3 flues. Left-hand return has
bay window with 2 cross windows. Part of curved garden wall and iron railings survive
to south of lodge, and 1 stone gate pier with ball finial.
