House, c.1830 built at right-angle to Cl8 rear wing, altered in C19. House:
combed sandstone ashlar, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with central bay
recessed. Entrance in recessed Greek revival portico with plain entablature
supported by unfluted Doric columns. All windows are 2-light with a wedge
lintel, plain sill and recessed panel below; all have sashes, those on upper
floor have 10 panes. Upper floor string course below sill. Eaves are dentilled
at central bay only. Gable end ridge stacks. Interior retains original Cl9
central staircase plan and fittings. Rear wing: slobbered rubble, stone dress-
ings and stone-slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central entrance has plain
surround and moulded gabled hood; former 6-panel door, lower 2 panels now
boarded, upper 2 have diamond bolection mouldings. C18 right-hand ground floor
3-light window with plain surround and recessed flat-faced mullions, central
light contains sashes, outer lights are fixed with 21 panes each. Remaining
windows are C19 with late C19 sashes, but upper floor window to right of centre
replaces a wider but lower C18 window. Gable-end chimney at left-hand and at
former right-hand gable.
