SETTLE DUKE STREET
Shop and house. c.1810. Ashlar, slate roof. 3 storeys, double fronted.Central
entrance has panelled jambs, glazed rectangular fanlight and two recessed 4
panel doors, upper 2 panes glazed. Fine original shop front consisting of 2 bay
windows, frieze and hood. Reglazed c.1960 in early C19 style. First and second
floor windows have plain surrounds, projecting sills and sashes. Doric cornice
with 3 mutules. Gable and ridge stacks. Right-hand return is at an obtuse
angle, and right-hand wall of front room on first and second floor is concave in
