ST 75 NW COMBE HAY

10/19 The Old School House

- II

House, formerly used as a school. Mid C18, the date 1737 is scratched on a
side elevation; altered and extended mid C19. Ashlar with hipped slate roofs
behind parapet and moulded eaves cornice. To the left is the C18 part:
single storey with two glazing bar sash windows in moulded architraves and a
central 6-panel door in a moulded architrave and under a pediment on brackets.
C19 2-bay wing at right: glazing bar sash window in raised plain surrounds,
plain band over; wide plain gable with blocked window.
