Formerly barn to Primrose House (qv), now two cottages and two flats. Coursed
rubble stone dressings, stone slate roof. Mid to late C17 with late C18, C19
and C20 alterations. 3 storeys 4 bays. Former central carriage entrance had
late C18/early C19 door with plain surrounds inserted on left (now blocked) and
window on right. C20 entrance to No. 1 on extreme left; entrance to No. 2 is
to right of centre and has a plain surround; both doors are C20. Scattered C19
and C20 fenestration except second floor which forms rear of 1 and 2 School Hill:
three 2-lights chamfered windows with cavetto mullions and one single light chamfered
window; all windows have C20 casements. Left-hand gable end ridge stack. Included
for group value.
