SD 95 SW MARTONS BOTH EAST MARTON

2/105 Box Tree Cottage

GV II

Farmhouse, C17 in origin but at least refaced C18. Squared rubble and stone
slate roof. Two storeys. Long range irregularly fenestrated, but of four bays
on each floor. The ground floor has a doorway with architrave, pulvinated frieze
and cornice. One tall single light and three 2-light recessed square mullion
windows. Sashed without glazing bars. The first floor has four windows with
architraves, similarly sashed. A rear wing has a Tudor-arched doorway and one
2-light double chamfered stone mullion window to the upper storey. Three stacks.
