ST 66 SE COMPTON DANDO

7/33 Wick Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Dated WP/1721, remodelled C19. Rubble with freestone dressings; slate
roofs and coped raised verges. 2 storeys. L-plan with projecting wing at right
and rear wing. 2 windows plus one in wing: mixture of mid-C19 marginal glazing
bar sashes; one 2-light casement in the wing and one 3-light casement over the
door, in ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds; 2-light casements and glazing bar
sash windows on ground floor of right wing and to rear wing, all under cambered
heads. 6-panel door in solid porch. Formerly part of the Popham estate centred
on nearby Hunstrete House (now demolished).
