Listing Text

5/136 Fiddling Clough

Farmhouse, cottage and possible workshop, all now derelict, late C18 and C19.
Rubble stone, slate roof. Two storeys except at left hand end where crossfall
creates three. The oldest part appears to be the right hand end, which
has a symmetrical front. Plain stone surround to the doorway and pitched
stone hood. Recessed square mullion windows of three lights to each side,
and of four lights over. Gable stacks. The left hand end has flush square
mullion windows and is of three bays, without stacks. The third bay projects
slightly and is heavily quoined which suggests that the fourth bay with
similar detail, is an infill.
