House. C17, refronted early -mid C19. Coursed squared grey gritstone,
graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Quoins. Glazed door to left
of centre in plain stone surround with moulded cornice. Flanking and
first-floor windows have C20 frames in projecting stone surrounds. A
blocked doorway to far right. Moulded kneelers, gable copings, corniced
end stacks. Rear: projecting staircase and outshut half bay with recessed
chamfered mullion windows. Interior: the stone newel stair survives,
opposite the present entrance. The Cl7 plan would have had an end lobby
entry. One of the few houses in the village to retain Cl7 features.
