School house. Early C19 with medieval fragments. Coursed squared stone
with ashlar dressings, graduated stone slate roof. 1 storey, 2 bays.
Central 4-panel door with medieval fluted pilasters and moulded segmental
arch; flanked by two 3-light chamfered mullion windows with drip-moulds,
above each a small piece of medieval tracery. Stone coping, end stacks.
The carved medieval fragments probably were taken from Jervaulx Abbey.
