9/124 Bridge over Midford Brook


Road bridge over Midford Brook. Probably C17, remodelled C18 and dated
"WH BEX H/1772"; repaired C19 and C20. Ashlar and coursed squared rubble
with brick repairs. Central large semi-circular arch flanked by 2 smaller
arches; the western arch bridged a former mill leat. All arches have keystones.Central cutwater on south side. Also listed in South Stoke Civil Parish - item 7/81.
