The Elizabethan Public

C18. Brown brick. Pitched pantiled roof. Coped gables on cut stone kneelers.
Two storeys, but it may have had a third, as there are remains of a first
floor band and an entire second floor band which runs just below the eaves.
No 8 has paired wooden brackets to eaves, remainder have brick modillion
eaves cornice. Five flush-framed sashes on first floor, and one blind panel.
No 8 has mid C19 shop-front with consoles at either end of fascia, door with fanlight in recessed porch, and turned glazing bars with bulbous bases. Rear
of No 8 has depressed brick relieving arches over casements.
