8/139 The Lodge

G.V. II

Lodge to Newton Park. Mid - late C19. Rubble with freestone dressings,
plain and fish-scale tiled roof. Irregular T-plan with a projecting cross-
wing at the right: in a Gothic style. Single storey and attics in steep
gables. Mixture of single, 2- and 3-light casement windows in moulded
surrounds, with 4-centred heads and under dripmoulds. Single storey projection
at left. Door in shouldered surround and under stepped parapet, in re-
entrant angle.
