4/76 The Rectory

GV II

Rectory. 1768 with C20 porch and garages to right of no particular
interest. Magnesian limestone ashlar with Weldsh slate roof. 2 storeys.
5 bays. Plinth. Step to central entrance now sash with glazing bars in
moulded architrave under hood supported by consoles. Continuous ground
floor cill band. Sashes with glazing bars under lintels throughout, those
to first floor with separate cills. Low parapet with balustered centre and
4 ball finials conceals roof. End and ridge stacks. interior: C18 open-
well staircase with turned baluster. Panelling to left-hand room.
